PALEO DB

One of the objectives of the INSITE project is the creation of a bibliographic database collecting and cataloging scientific publications, texts, and articles published so far regarding the case studies of Ciampate del Diavolo and Pietraroja.

This initiative was born from the awareness of having a vast bibliography that, until now, needed to be systematized to facilitate access and consultation by anyone interested.

At the same time, it is essential to catalogue the information relating to the finds discovered in the paleontological sites under study. Over the years, numerous finds, particularly those from the Pietraroja site, have been transferred to various museums and institutes in Italy and abroad. However, obtaining an overall view of the type and quantity of finds preserved worldwide is not easy. To address this issue, a specific database has been created to describe and use the finds, which collects information on the various collections formed over time.
