The International Nannoplankton Association (INA) promotes knowledge of modern and fossil calcareous nannoplankton. INA conferences are one of the main means to achieve this goal.
The researchers of the Benevento unit presented a paper on climate variability during the Pleistocene and participated in the visit to the Anglesey UNESCO Geopark to compare the experience realized in the area. The Geopark, “using” the geological heritage of Anglesey as an educational and recreational resource for visitors and residents of the island, is improving the local economy and employment prospects. Participation in the Public Outreach workshop also allowed to share experiences, discuss what makes effective public outreach and share information on usable resources.
